MS incidence and treatment strategies: lessons from Taiwan

New research is providing better estimates of the incidence of multiple sclerosis (MS) in Taiwan.

At AOCN 2021, Prof. Long-Sun Bo of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Linkou, Taiwan, gave an overview of epidemiological studies of MS in Taiwan and current treatment strategies.

Prof. Bo and colleagues conducted a nationwide study using Taiwan’s National Health Insurance Database. They identified patients with CIS who were treated between 2008 and 2014 and patients diagnosed with MS between 2007 and 2016.
